Ever thought of joining our branch?

1. Full Membership

Membership of the NSW Branch of the Richard III Society allows you all the privileges of a member of the worldwide Richard III Society:

  • Four issues of the Ricardian Bulletin per year.  The Ricardian Bulletin is the Society’s lively and informative members’ magazine published quarterly in March, June, September, and December. Every issue includes topical news and features about the work of the Society and other items of interest which have relevance to Richard III and his times, including media coverage. There are also historical articles focusing on the late fifteenth century; exploring new subjects or re-examining old ones and always based on new research or fresh interpretations. Every issue carries at least one article relating specifically to Richard III.  The magazine aims to keep all members fully informed about Society services and activities at both national and local level.
  • The annual journal, The Ricardian. The Ricardian is the academic journal of the Richard III Society and contains articles – based on original research – on topics relating to Richard III, his life and times, and on late medieval history and culture. It also contains review articles and reviews of recently published books, together with notices of new books and articles.
  • Members receive all email notifications which are send out by the Richard III Society, providing up to date information on events and other news. (Internet connection required)
  • Members have the opportunity to attend conferences organised by the  Richard III Society in the UK, eg. study weekend and the triennial conferences.
  • Discounted entry to venues of Ricardian interest such as Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre & Country Park (full list here).
  • Members can order publications and other Ricardian items from the Society Shop at members’ rates (postage does apply).
  • Members have access to the expertise of specialist members of the Society. Guidelines are available for those who wish to begin their own research and the Society has run a successful correspondence course in palaeography for many years. There are opportunities to participate in the Society’s research projects.
  • Members can attend the Society AGM held in early October in the UK.
  • The NSW Branch has an exchange programme for journals of a number of other branches of the Richard III Society, members receive copies of these in pdf format.  (Internet connection required)
